Boston ladies playing away to Stamford. The result was 83 Boston 58 Satmford. Winning rink today was the newbie rink skipped by Carol Dowse, well assisted by Sam, Barbara and Debbie. Debbie javing some good bowls ande savinga few shots. There was a good bit of rivalry between Carol and Helen's rink as to whom was going to get the winning rink. Carol won 15 shots to Helen's 13. Unfortunatley Sue Hoyles lost by one shot on her rink, it was a tight game 17-18. Sue Simpson Shaw lost by 2 shots pulling back 12 shots in the last 7 ends 16-18. Well done all ladies, that earns Boston 10 points putting us 12 ahead in the closing stages with one game left to play. Thank you to the ladies who was subbing. Proud of you all

This was a very good game played by all ladies. I think we were the underdogs to begin with. We had 2 winning rinks Sandra Copeland had the winning rink of 23 to a reply of 12, picking up a 6 on the last end to certain the aggregate. Captain Sandra Tebbs had the other winning rink of 26 to a reply of 22. Once again picking up a 6 on the last end. Thank you to Pam for stepping in as a sub and welcome to Angela on her first game. Sue Hoyles rink was very close just loosing by 2 shots. Unlucky the newest rink just losing by 10.
Thank you all once again and I wish you all a very happy christmas.

This was the first game of the season and closely fought. The winning rink was Sue Hoyles by 5 shots which was good enough for 2 points. The next point came from the captains rink drawing 18-18, picking up a 6 on end 12 to equal the game at 12 all. Carol Dowse playing in the new role of skip failed by 3 against a very strong rink. The new rink is newly put togehther and looks very interesting. Well done ladies... Thank you to Jean Thomspon and Rita Epton in as subs. Thank you to all ladies that played. Not everyone gets a mention but you are all just as important. Next game is at home on 7th November start time 9.45am.
